The so-called Supreme Court of the self-proclaimed Donetsk People's Republic (DPR) has sentenced Georgian citizen Kakhaber Amiranashvili to 13 years and six months in prison *in absentia*. Russian media reported the news, citing the Investigative Committee of the Russian Federation.

The Supreme Court of Kabardino-Balkaria decided to re-examine the case of the convicted Shamil Abanokov. He claims compensation for the fact that he spent six years in the Nalchik remand centre and received no medical treatment.
Shamil Abanokov was ill with tuberculosis and hepatitis C, but from 2011 to 2017 he was not treated. He was convicted of banditry, robbery and arms trafficking and sentenced to 18 years in prison. Later, the sentence was reduced to 15 years.
