Those wishing to fight with Ukraine were promised maximum payments in the Karachay-Cherkess Republic

In Karachay-Cherkessia, a record payment for signing a military contract was set - 1.3 million rubles. The corresponding decree was signed by the head of the region, Rashid Temrezov. Before this, the amount was 13 times lower - 100 thousand.

According to Rosstat, last year the Karachay-Cherkess Republic took third place in terms of poverty among the constituent entities of the Russian Federation. The average salary in the region is 23.5 thousand rubles.
In addition, the authorities of Kabardino-Balkaria more than doubled the amount of lump sum payments to those who signed a contract with the Russian Ministry of Defense - up to 805 thousand rubles. This was announced by the regional military commissar Dmitry Pakhomov.

There are almost 700 thousand Russian troops in the “special operation” zone in Ukraine, Russian President Vladimir Putin said the day before. Since the beginning of 2024, over 100 thousand people have entered contract service.
