Moscow Comments on Developing Relations with Armenia

Grain deliveries to Armenia via Azerbaijan have become possible thanks to Russia's efforts, Russian Foreign Ministry spokesperson Zakharova stated.

According to her, Moscow is providing prompt assistance to Armenia, while the effectiveness of Western mediation remains to be assessed. Zakharova emphasized that this development is the result of the work of the Trilateral Working Group on Unblocking Regional Communications and the agreements reached by the leaders of Russia, Armenia, and Azerbaijan from 2020 to 2022.

Regarding accusations of waging a "hybrid war" against Armenia, Zakharova noted that such statements are made in the context of the persecution of supporters of developing Russian-Armenian ties, similar to the situation in other countries. The Russian Federation expressed its readiness to discuss any concerns Armenia may have regarding bilateral relations in various formats.

"We cannot help but note that statements about a 'hybrid war' against Armenia are being made against the backdrop of persecution in the republic of supporters of developing ties with our country. “It’s as if it’s been tested in recent years in other countries, for example, in Moldova,” Zakharova pointed out.
