Russian Deputy Prime Minister Alexey Overchuk's visit to Armenia took place without a meeting with Prime Minister Nikol Pashinyan. This, as noted by the Armenian newspaper Past and several experts, indicates growing tensions in relations between Moscow and Yerevan.
In Moscow, a native of Chechnya was left under arrest on charges of financing terrorism
The Ostankino District Court of Moscow left 37-year-old Beslan Margoshvili, a native of Grozny, under arrest. The man denies the charge of financing terrorism brought against him.
According to investigators, Margoshvili transferred funds to finance terrorist activities. He himself claims that this was an ordinary household transfer. The defendant faces eight to fifteen years in prison.
The man was detained in November 2024. Soon he was included in the register of terrorists and extremists of Rosfinmonitoring.
