In St. Petersburg, an elderly native of Dagestan was arrested on charges of attempting to cooperate with Ukraine
A St. Petersburg court sent a 67-year-old native of Dagestan into custody until March 11, suspected of “attempted cooperation with a foreign state.”
According to investigators, the man “contacted the Main Intelligence Directorate of the Ministry of Defense of Ukraine and reported his intentions to give out information and take specific actions that could contribute to the military defeat of the Russian Federation.” These actions were stopped by FSB officers, the court said.
The defendant did not comment on his actions, asking to choose a more lenient preventive measure. However, he was arrested for two months.
