The Orenburg Regional Court has begun hearing the state prosecution's appeal in the 6-million-ruble bribe case involving former senator Rauf Arashukov. The prosecution is seeking to increase the fine for the former official, who was sentenced to life imprisonment, from 120 million to 420 million rubles.
A teenager detained on suspicion of carrying out a terrorist attack at a school in Odintsovo, Moscow Region, who killed a 10-year-old Tajik boy, has confessed and described the preparation and details of the crime. This was reported by the Russian Investigative Committee.
According to investigators, the 15-year-old student spent a week preparing for the attack. During this time, he wrote an 11-page manifesto, "My Anger," in which he described his hatred of people and divided them into ethnicities and religions. Ultimately, he intended to kill a teacher and stabbed the 10-year-old Tajik boy to death.
The horrific attack occurred on the afternoon of Tuesday, December 16, at Uspenskaya Secondary Comprehensive School in Odintsovo. The attacker, a 15-year-old ninth-grader, arrived at the school with a knife and wounded a security guard and several students. A ten-year-old fourth-grade student was killed, and a security guard was taken to the hospital. Before the brutal attack, the teenager reportedly asked a Tajik boy, "What nationality are you?" The attacker was detained by security forces.
The teenage killer was a fan of the international neo-Nazi movement No Lives Matter.
