Armenian Prime Minister Nikol Pashinyan has warned that Russia’s restrictions on Armenian exports are calling into question the future of the Eurasian Economic Union (EAEU), saying the dispute could mark “the beginning of the end” for the Moscow-led bloc if it is not resolved soon.
Inflation has accelerated in the North Caucasus Federal District
In October, official inflation in the North Caucasus Federal District accelerated to 7.8% after 7.1% in September. This was reported by the Central Bank Rosstat. Annual price growth in Russia as a whole also continued to rise, reaching 6.6% (in September – 6%).
The highest level of inflation in the North Caucasus was recorded in Dagestan (8.5%). The main reasons are the increase in the cost of fuel, food, high transport costs of manufacturers and suppliers.
The lowest inflation rate in the district was recorded in Chechnya (6.3%). The supply of clothing and footwear in the republic has expanded through cooperation with new suppliers from neighboring countries, which has led to lower prices.
