Representation of the Chechen Republic of Ichkeria opened in Ukraine

An official representation of the CRI government appeared in Kyiv. It contains Ukrainian and Ichkerian flags, portraits of heroes and participants in the Russian-Chechen wars.

At the end of May, at a conference in Kyiv, the leaders of the North Caucasian national movements agreed to raise the issue of restoring the statehood of the Union of the Peoples of the North Caucasus (Mountain Republic). The participants also adopted an appeal on the de-occupation of the Chechen Republic of Ichkeria. It will be used in communication with parliaments and leaders of UN member states. They will be asked to recognize the Chechen people as a nation that is fighting for its independence.

Chechen military personnel formed an army in Ukraine to help the country win. This was recently stated by the head of the CRI-in-exile Akhmed Zakaev.
