The Georgian authorities announced the fulfillment of the conditions for candidacy for the European Union

Georgia has fulfilled all the conditions of the European Commission to obtain the status of an EU candidate. This was stated by the chairman of the ruling party "Georgian Dream" Irakli Kobakhidze. “The political decision will be made in December, and in this case you never know in advance what it will be. If we are talking about a decision based on facts, then, in our opinion, Georgia definitely deserves a status. There's not even an excuse for her not getting it. If there is a refusal, then this is a bad signal,” the politician said.

Kobakhidze noted that Georgia was worthy to receive the status of a candidate country together with Ukraine and Moldova last year, but a year ago in Brussels "an unfair decision was made" in relation to it.
