The Nalchik Garrison Military Court sentenced Askhad Zambatov to five years in prison. He was found guilty of evading military service.
According to the case file, Zambatov, without legal grounds, failed to report to his unit in North Ossetia at the appointed time on August 6, 2025.
On April 13, 2026, Zambatov voluntarily appeared before the military investigative department in Mozdok. Until then, he had been living at his registered address.
The defendant "recognized the illegality of his actions, honestly described what happened, and expressed remorse." The court sentenced him to five years in prison.
It should be noted that the Nalchik Garrison Military Court has a history of handing down real prison sentences to military personnel. In particular, Algiz Valitov received 2 years, Ramazan Lukozhev, Ruslan Murzakaev, Timur Yandiev and Amerkhan Kurskiev - 5 years each, Arsen Bayev and Islam Teshev - 7 years.
