The restoration of the airport in Makhachkala after riots cost 20 million rubles

The infrastructure of the Makhachkala airport, which suffered from unrest in October 2023, was completely restored. The costs amounted to 20 million rubles, said the general director of the airport Said Ramazanov.

According to him, compensation from people involved in the damage to people has not yet been recovered, since the investigation is underway.

As of today, 901 participants in the October riots amounted to administrative protocols. In addition to bringing to administrative responsibility, more than 100 people are in jail.

On October 29, 2023, a crowd of people burst into the Makhachkala airport demanding not to let the passengers of the flight from Tel Aviv to the city. The action took place as part of the Palestinian-Israeli conflict.
