The defense of a man sentenced to five years, mobilized from the KBR, appealed the sentence

A lawsuit was filed to appeal the decision of the Nalchik Garrison Court. Previously, he sentenced Islam Margushev, mobilized from the Zolsky district of the KBR, to five years in prison on charges of evading military service.

Margushev was mobilized on September 26, 2022. In December, he failed to report for duty and stayed home to spend time with his mother. At the same time, he participated in the war with Ukraine from October to November 2022. The court found that the man violated Article 337 of the Criminal Code on unauthorized leaving a unit or place of service during the period of mobilization and sentenced him to five years in prison.
