A resident of Crimea was forced to publicly apologize for signing “Glory to Ukraine” in his passport.

The court in Alushta found Denis Gritsenko guilty of promoting extremist symbols (Part 1 of Article 20.3 of the Code of Administrative Offenses of the Russian Federation) for signing “Glory to Ukraine” in his passport. He was arrested for 12 days.

The man was also forced to publicly apologize. This is what the Crimean SMERSH channel does, which persecutes people with an anti-war or pro-Ukrainian position, including Crimean Tatars.

In the video, Denis said that he signed this way in his Russian passport back in 2014.
