The number of people injured in a large-scale Ukrainian drone attack on the southern Russian city of Volgograd has risen to nine after rescuers recovered the body of a woman from the rubble of a residential building struck overnight on July 31.
A 21-year-old local resident of Volgograd was accused of publicly justifying terrorism. He is suspected of leaving a comment on social networks in support of natives of Ingushetia killed during the counter-terrorism operation in 2024.
“The 21-year-old man posted a comment in which he publicly justifies the activities of adherents of radical ideas of Islamic extremism and religious hatred towards representatives of other religions who committed a terrorist act in the city of Karabulak in the Republic of Ingushetia in early March 2024,” law enforcement agencies reported.
The CTO in Karabulak took place on March 2-3, 2024. Six people barricaded themselves in an apartment in the building and were killed by security forces. Amirkhan Gurazhev is considered their leader. He was suspected of a series of attacks on police officers in Ingushetia in the spring of 2023.
