Residents of the KBR, Chechnya and Ingushetia will have to save from 13 to 15 years for a down payment on a mortgage

RIA Novosti published a rating of regions based on the ability of Russians to save for a down payment to obtain a mortgage. It is 30% of the cost of a typical sixty-meter apartment for a family of two working adults with the average salary in the region and a child.

The worst situation in the Russian Federation is among residents of Kabardino-Balkaria: they will need 14.7 years to save. The republic took the last, 85th place in the ranking. Chechnya and Ingushetia are ranked 83rd and 84th (13.4 years), Karachay-Cherkessia - 82nd (12 years), Dagestan - 81st (11 years). North Ossetia took 78th place with an indicator of 8.7 years.

The leader of the rating was the Yamalo-Nenets Autonomous Okrug: its residents will need only two years and three months to save the down payment on their mortgage. Next come the Magadan region, Nenets and Chukotka Autonomous Okrug. In most Russian regions, a family of two working people needs to save for a mortgage payment for about six years.
