Residents of Stavropol were given real terms for dancing at a military memorial

In Stavropol, one guy received a year, and three received one and a half years in a penal colony on charges of desecrating symbols of Russia's military glory (Part 4 of Article 354.1 of the Criminal Code).

According to investigators, four young people "desecrated a monument" with a mass grave in the village of Grushevskoye in the Aleksandrovsky District of Stavropol in December 2023. They danced the lezginka at the memorial.

The Sova Information and Analysis Center believes that many cases under Article 354.1 of the Criminal Code are initiated unlawfully. According to analysts, they should be resolved within the framework of civil, not criminal proceedings.
