Every year since 2009, Azerbaijan celebrates National Flag Day on November 9. The current tricolor flag of the country was first approved on November 9, 1918 by the government of the Azerbaijan Democratic Republic (ADR).

A former deputy minister of education and science of Dagestan was detained on suspicion of accepting bribes in the amount of 60 million rubles. This was reported by the Investigative Committee of Russia.

Former Sports Minister of Dagestan Magomed Magomedov has been added to the list of terrorists and extremists by Rosfinmonitoring. He is accused of aiding terrorist activity using his official position.
