Apti Alaudinov accused those who named the price of his wristwatch of working for British intelligence

Deputy head of the Main Military-Political Directorate of the Russian Armed Forces and commander of the volunteer formation "Akhmat" Apti Alaudinov commented on the information of the telegram channel "VChK-OGPU". It estimated Alaudinov's Badollet Observatoire 1872 Chronograph wristwatch at 165,000-272,000 euros.

""VChK-OGPU", which works for MI-6 [British secret intelligence], and the people who leak information there - I wonder who they work for? Even if I had a watch for 270 thousand euros, why should I be embarrassed by you? "VChK-OGPU" is precisely this rooster, snake ball, and everyone who leaks information there - they are the same roosters. If I have a watch worth 270 million dollars or euros, I will wear it too. Do you have anything to oppose to me in terms of my purity? If I stole something from someone, took something from somewhere, then please, make claims against me. I work for the Motherland, I believe in God," Alaudinov said.

Billionaire and former Nagorno-Karabakh state minister Ruben Vardanyan, sentenced in Baku to 20 years in prison, rejected the legal force of the ruling and dropped his appeal. His family explained that this decision stemmed from the fact that, in their view, the trial was a "staged performance" rather than a proper trial: the hearings were held behind closed doors, without access to independent observers, and the prosecution's motions were ignored. The full text of the verdict was also not released.
