Azerbaijan to send more aid to Ukrainian children

Ukrainian Ambassador to Azerbaijan Yuriy Gusev held a meeting with Deputy Foreign Minister of Azerbaijan Samir Sharifov, where they discussed issues of bilateral cooperation between the countries. Particular attention was paid to the humanitarian support that Baku provides to Ukraine.

In particular, Gusev reported on preparations for sending humanitarian aid collected in August for children from Sumy, Kherson and other Ukrainian regions affected by the war. He expressed gratitude to everyone who took part in the support.

Earlier, Deputy Foreign Minister of Azerbaijan Yalcin Rafiyev emphasized Azerbaijan's support for the sovereignty and territorial integrity of Ukraine and noted that the country has been providing humanitarian aid since the first days of the conflict, the total cost of which amounted to 42 million dollars. According to him, 330 Ukrainian children have undergone a medical and socio-psychological rehabilitation program in Azerbaijan.
