On the night of July 31, residents of Kaspiysk reported explosions near the seaport, which serves as the base for the Caspian Flotilla. Russian authorities have not officially commented on reports of a possible attack on the port. That same night, Ukrainian drones also struck other Russian regions.
Drones Attack Largest Chemical Plant in Stavropol
Eight drones were intercepted and destroyed on June 14 in the skies over Stavropol Krai. This was reported by the Russian Defense Ministry.
In particular, the UAVs attacked the chemical plant Nevinnomyssk Azot. It is one of the largest producers of nitrogen fertilizers and ammonia in the country. The plant supplies nitric and acetic acid, which is used to produce octogen and hexogen - explosives used in artillery shells.
Later, Governor Vladimir Vladimirov confirmed that "falling debris was recorded in the industrial zone of Nevinnomyssk." At first, he reported one casualty, but later clarified that there were no casualties.
