Turkish President Recep Tayyip Erdoğan stated that during the 44-day war in Karabakh, an information campaign was launched against Azerbaijan with the aim of accusing Ankara of supporting Baku. He emphasized that these accusations relied on the rhetoric of Ankara's opponents and spread false information about Turkish arms supplies to Azerbaijan.
A study by the project "If to Be Precise", based on data from the Ministry of Internal Affairs, revealed that the lowest level of registered crime in the Russian Federation is recorded in the republics of the North Caucasus. Dagestan is in the lead, followed by Ingushetia.
The authors attribute this to the low level of alcohol consumption and strong clan ties in the regions. At the same time, as analysts note, it is possible that the real level of violence may be higher than the registered one, since many conflicts are resolved within the family and clan, bypassing official law enforcement agencies.
In addition, the top ten safe regions include the Ryazan Region, Moscow and the Moscow Region, Kabardino-Balkaria, the Kurgan and Rostov Regions, as well as the Republic of Adygea.
The highest crime rates are recorded in Tuva, Chukotka and a number of other regions of the Far East, which is due to the high level of poverty and problems with alcohol.
