Dagestan and North Ossetia have become leaders in domestic tourism

At the end of 2023, the growth of domestic tourist flow in Russia amounted to 10%. According to analytics from the hotel booking service MTS Travel, travelers showed the greatest interest in the North Caucasus.

The leader is Dagestan, where people went on vacation 37% more often last year. In second place is North Ossetia (+34%), in third place is Stavropol Region (+27%).

Also in the top 10 were Karachay-Cherkessia (4th place, +26%), Chechnya (6th place, +22.5%) and Kabardino-Balkaria (9th place, +17%).

In addition to the North Caucasian Federal District, the dynamics of trips to the Kaliningrad region (+24%), Kalmykia (+22%), Murmansk region (+21%) and Khabarovsk Territory (+17%) also increased.
