15-year-old Chechen boy Muslim Murdiyev was transferred from a Moscow pretrial detention center to a juvenile correctional facility in the Volgograd region. The boy's mother appealed to Vladimir Putin and Ramzan Kadyrov, asking them to ensure her son's safety.
In 2025, drivers committed 460,300 traffic violations in Dagestan, and over 350,000 in Stavropol Krai. These regions are among the worst offenders in this indicator among Russian regions.
The top three regions for traffic violations were Moscow (1.18 million), the Moscow Region (1.13 million), and St. Petersburg and Leningrad Oblast combined (467,300). The fewest violations were recorded in Chukotka (2,002) and the Nenets Autonomous Okrug (2,520).
The regions with the highest number of violations (Moscow, Moscow Oblast, St. Petersburg, and Leningrad Oblast) also led in the number of registered vehicles (5.3 million, 3.6 million, and 2.9 million, respectively). Accordingly, the Nenets Autonomous Okrug (approximately 15,800 vehicles) and Chukotka (approximately 16,000 vehicles) have the smallest number of vehicles.
In total, almost 11.4 million reckless drivers were identified across Russia in 2025, 376,000 fewer than the previous year.
