State Duma deputy from Dagestan will ask law enforcement agencies to check Chubais

They propose to check Anatoly Chubais for the withdrawal of capital from Russia. State Duma deputy from Dagestan Sultan Khamzaev said that he would send the relevant requests to the FSB and the Investigative Committee.

“A year ago he left the country, now he is delivering humanitarian aid and publicly wants to show his loyalty in Israel’s war. In my understanding, the behavior of an ex-official of this rank is high treason,” Khamzaev said. According to him, the audit should also concern Chubais’s activities as the former general director of the state corporation Rusnano and RAO UES of Russia. The first revealed a large financial hole.

Russian President Putin recently publicly remembered Chubais. He wondered why a high-ranking official left Russia shortly after the war with Ukraine began and became an Israeli citizen named “Moshe Izrailevich.” Currently, Chubais is providing humanitarian assistance to Israel.

Deputy Khamzaev often attracts attention with extravagant initiatives. He recently wrote a denunciation against the famous rock musician Boris Grebenshchikov, who emigrated from the Russian Federation, demanding that he be brought to justice for “discrediting” the Russian army. He also called for the deprivation of citizenship of Russians who have left and criticize the government, and for the introduction of the term “unfriendly relocants.” In addition, a deputy from Dagestan initiated a ban on the study of English in Russian schools.
