The Orenburg Regional Court has begun hearing the state prosecution's appeal in the 6-million-ruble bribe case involving former senator Rauf Arashukov. The prosecution is seeking to increase the fine for the former official, who was sentenced to life imprisonment, from 120 million to 420 million rubles.
The daughter and nephew of Suleiman Kerimov fell under British sanctions
The United Kingdom imposed sanctions against 11 Russian companies and individuals, including relatives of billionaire Dagestan Suleiman Kerimov. This is his daughter Gulnara and nephew Nariman Hajiyev.
According to EU and UK authorities, both relatives are involved in Kerimov’s financial interests. The Senator’s son was previously included on the British sanctions list.
