Ingushetia and Chechnya are among the leaders in terms of shortage of hospital beds
In 2023, on average in the Russian Federation, there were 67 hospital beds per 10 thousand Russians. The worst indicator was recorded in Ingushetia - 43 inpatient beds. Over three years, their number has decreased by six units. This was reported by the Ministry of Health.

Chechnya was also in the top ten worst - 51 hospital beds per 10 thousand people. At the same time, in 2020, there were 80 of them. In Dagestan, there are 58 hospital beds per 10 thousand residents, in 2018 there were 62, and in 2010 - 69.

Chukotka (135) and Sakhalin (106) are best provided with hospital beds, which is explained by the sparse population of the regions.

By the beginning of 2023, compared to 2022, there were 20.2 thousand fewer inpatient beds in the Russian Federation. This figure has been declining since 2008.
