Crimean Tatar imam persecuted for “illegal missionary activity”

In Crimean Alushta, the court hearing on the administrative protocol against local imam Yusuf Ashirov has been extended for the second time. He is accused of illegal missionary activity.

It is noteworthy that documents were presented in court according to which the Muslim community in the city where Ashirov worked was registered in accordance with the procedure established by law. In addition, two witnesses were interrogated, who testified that there had never been another imam in the mosque except Ashirov.
