Georgian Prime Minister Irakli Kobakhidze stated that the European Commission has been provided with complete and reliable information on the activities of the Kulevi port, confirming compliance with the sanctions regime. The statement came amid discussions of the 20th EU sanctions package against Russia, which, according to media reports, may include the Georgian port.
FinExpertiza analysts found that in 2024, the lowest cybersecurity spending in Russia was on businesses and the public sector in Altai (27,500 rubles per enterprise), Dagestan (33,500), and Ingushetia (33,000).
A significant number of regions with the lowest investments are located in the North Caucasus Federal District (NCFD): North Ossetia also made the top 10 (50,600 rubles).
Stavropol Krai, Karachay-Cherkessia, Kabardino-Balkaria, and Chechnya demonstrated higher figures (178,900, 131,500, 94,300, and 89,500 rubles, respectively). Meanwhile, cybersecurity spending in Dagestan, North Ossetia, and Ingushetia decreased compared to 2023, while other regions of the North Caucasus Federal District saw an increase.
Across Russia, large and medium-sized organizations spent a record 209 billion rubles on cybersecurity in 2024, a 21% increase from the previous year.
