Mikheil Saakashvili announced that he is returning to politics

A year ago, after his arrest in Tbilisi, the former president of Georgia announced his retirement from politics. Now he has announced that he is ready to join political life in both Georgia and Ukraine at the same time.

“Despite the state of my health, I intend to be very actively involved in Georgian politics in parallel with my activities in Ukraine. From today, I intend to participate in all court hearings wherever I can physically,” Saakashvili wrote on social networks. After that, the Georgian parliament called on the Ministry of Justice to return the former president from the clinic to prison.

Recall that Mikheil Saakashvili was sentenced to six years on a number of charges. After a hunger strike, he was placed in a private clinic. The leaders of many states consider the imprisonment of Saakashvili as revenge on the part of the Georgian authorities.
