Russian Deputy Prime Minister Alexey Overchuk's visit to Armenia took place without a meeting with Prime Minister Nikol Pashinyan. This, as noted by the Armenian newspaper Past and several experts, indicates growing tensions in relations between Moscow and Yerevan.
Moscow demands that Armenia extradite Georgian citizen who fought for Ukraine
Georgian citizen Georgiy Kinoyan, who fought for Ukraine as part of the "Georgian Legion", was detained on the Armenian-Georgian border. This was reported by Georgian media.
According to the press, Kinoyan was put on the wanted list by Russia via the DESETE system, which is not available to Georgian border services. Thus, Tbilisi was not notified that Kinoyan was wanted.
Russia is currently seeking Kinoyan's extradition from Armenia. The final decision on this issue will be made by an Armenian court.
