Moscow Adds Azerbaijani Publicist to Foreign Agent List

Russia has added Ruslan Suleymanov, an Azerbaijani orientalist and employee of the Azerbaijan Diplomatic Academy (ADA) and the CBC-Azerbaijan television channel, to its list of foreign agents.

Suleimanov, an ethnic Azerbaijani with Russian roots, worked for the TASS news agency, leaving it in protest after the Russian invasion of Ukraine.

Ruslan Suleymanov is also a contributor to the Paxlava Production channel and a freelance researcher at the Institute for Development and Diplomacy, having authored numerous works on Azerbaijan and its regional cooperation.
