The smallest difference between the most and least paid workers in Ingushetia is 4.6 times. In the KBR and Chechnya the figure is 4.8, in the Karachay-Cherkess Republic - 4.9, in North Ossetia - 5.2, in the Stavropol Territory and Dagestan - 5.4.

In the country as a whole, the smallest discrepancy in the salaries of the lower and upper twenty percent groups of workers is observed in Tyva (3.8 times difference), Kalmykia (4.1), Magadan region (4.5), Karelia (4.5) and Mordovia ( 4.5), reports the FinExpertiza agency with reference to Rosstat data.

Salary inequality is most clearly expressed in Moscow (9.3 times), Astrakhan region (7 times), St. Petersburg (6.8 times), Moscow region (6.5 times) and Amur region (6.2 times).
Analysts also note that in the country as a whole in 2023, the average salaries of the 20% least and 20% of the most paid workers differ by 7.7 times - 22.7 thousand rubles versus 173.7 thousand rubles.
