A Russian military plane crashed in the Stavropol region

The TU-22M3 bomber plane crashed on the territory of the Krasnogvardeisky district of the Stavropol Territory. According to the Russian Ministry of Defense, the plane was returning from a combat mission.

According to preliminary data, the cause of the accident was a technical malfunction.
The pilots ejected, three crew members were evacuated, and the search for one pilot is underway. There was no ammunition on board, the Ministry of Defense said.

At the same time, according to the Ukrainian Air Force, a Russian bomber was shot down. Overnight, the Russian Federation attacked Ukraine with 22 missiles of various types and 14 attack UAVs, the department claims. 15 missiles, 14 drones and a TU-22M3 bomber were destroyed, the official statement said.
