NIYSO: Friend and bodyguard of Kadyrov's son suffered severe brain injuries and may be permanently disabled

The Chechen opposition movement NIYSO reported that Bislan Kaimov (nicknamed "Tyson"), Adam Kadyrov's bodyguard and friend, suffered severe brain injuries in a car accident in Grozny. Official sources remain silent regarding the accident itself and Kaimov's fate.

Activists report that doctors continue to fight for "Tyson's" life; he has severe brain damage and is at risk of losing speech and mobility.

As a reminder, on January 16, Adam Kadyrov's motorcade was involved in an accident. The Chechen leader's son was first taken to the Republican Hospital in Grozny and then transferred to Botkin Hospital in Moscow. It was also reported that approximately 20 of his close associates were injured. Chechen authorities are officially silent about the incident, but it is noteworthy that Adam Kadyrov has disappeared from the public eye since the accident.

Recently, Rosfinmonitoring added the Chechen opposition movement NIYSO ("Justice") to its list of organizations involved in "extremist" activity. The initial ban was imposed by the Supreme Court of Chechnya in September 2025.

According to Russian authorities, NIYSO, founded in August 2022, advocates for the separation of Chechnya from Russia and the creation of an independent Republic of Ichkeria, considering the current authorities in Grozny to be an occupation force. In the spring of 2025, according to NIYSO reports, Chechen authorities began confiscating property and forcibly removing relatives of movement members from the republic.
