15-year-old Chechen boy Muslim Murdiyev was transferred from a Moscow pretrial detention center to a juvenile correctional facility in the Volgograd region. The boy's mother appealed to Vladimir Putin and Ramzan Kadyrov, asking them to ensure her son's safety.
The Chechen opposition movement NIYSO announced the arrest and subsequent deployment to Ukraine of three young men from the village of Tangi-chu in the Urus-Martan district of the Chechen Republic. Fellow villagers reportedly asked for prayers for them.
The men are Deni Labazanov (18), Abubakar Kagermanov (19), and Deni Dautmerzaev. According to NIYSO, the arrests occurred during a raid to search phones. After one of the men was found in possession of material allegedly banned in Russia, they were kidnapped. According to the channel, the men were forced to sign contracts with the Ministry of Defense. They are expected to be deployed to the front.
It is noted that public appeals from relatives and fellow villagers in such cases are extremely rare. Let us recall that last fall, the Supreme Court of Chechnya recognized the NIYSO movement as an “extremist organization.”
