Police officers in the Shelkovsky district of Chechnya detained today a suspect in the murder of mullah Abdurakhim Gakaev. The detainee is 30-year-old Turpal-Ali Shamurzaev. The day before, he inflicted multiple stab wounds on Gakaev; the victim died on the spot.
