Pashinyan announced his intention to run in the parliamentary elections
Armenian Prime Minister Nikol Pashinyan intends to personally run in the 2026 parliamentary elections, heading the list of the ruling Civil Contract party. He announced this on his Telegram page.
Against the backdrop of the upcoming elections on June 7 (as announced by Parliament Speaker Alen Simonyan), Pashinyan, according to media reports, plans to strictly control the formation of the electoral list and demands the mandatory mobilization of Civil Contract party members.
Interest in participating in the elections is growing: before the application deadline on November 30, several dozen applications have already been received for the Civil Contract electoral list, including from ordinary party members.
