In connection with the recent mass conflict between residents of Ingushetia and North Ossetia, which occurred on the border of the republics on August 24, law enforcement agencies made arrests.

The Ministry of Internal Affairs does not report the exact number of detainees. According to the investigation, a possible cause of the incident was a domestic quarrel in the area of ​​the village of Chermen. Subsequently, the crowd led to the temporary closure of the federal highway "Kavkaz".

A criminal case has been opened in North Ossetia on the facts of hooliganism and causing minor bodily harm. One person was detained for petty hooliganism and drug use. Arrests were also made on the territory of Ingushetia.

The authorities of North Ossetia have instructed law enforcement agencies to block the entrances to the region if such situations arise.
