Political prisoner from Crimea Irina Danilovich could have suffered a stroke

Placed in women's colony No. 7 in the city of Zelenokumsk (Stavropol Territory), citizen journalist and nurse Irina Danilovich may have previously suffered a stroke in the Simferopol pre-trial detention center. She also has neurological disorders and brain lesions. Such conclusions were made by independent experts after analyzing medical documents and examination results.

The woman repeatedly complained of constant headaches and dizziness, and also lost consciousness while traveling to court hearings. Danilovich’s medical documents contain the conclusion of an MRI study, during which nonspecific lesions were discovered in the brain. According to doctors, this could have happened due to disorders or pathologies, including stroke.

It was previously reported that Irina Danilovich was not given medication for ear pain. In addition, the woman is extorted money for a robe that other prisoners used to wear.

At the end of 2022, the Feodosia City Court found 43-year-old Irina Danilovich guilty of carrying an improvised explosive device. The journalist and her lawyers claimed that explosives were planted on her, and that FSB officers used physical violence against her. In the pre-trial detention center, the Crimean nurse practically lost her hearing, she developed otitis media, dizziness and headaches.

Irina Danilovich is a Crimean activist who worked as a nurse in one of the boarding houses in Koktebel. She defended the interests of health workers and wrote extensively about violations of their rights. For example, about underpayments for working with Covid patients.
