A human rights activist from Chechnya and his family continue to receive death threats

The family of Ingushetia resident Marina Yandieva, who ran away from home, set a condition for Team Against Torture lawyer Magomed Alamov: the girl must return home by Sunday, October 29. Otherwise, the man and his family members face death. This was reported by the Team Against Torture.

Marina, who ran away from home, tried to contact her relatives again by phone to ask them to leave Alamov alone. However, no one answered her calls. She last spoke with her family on October 23.

Earlier, Marina appealed to the Commissioner for Human Rights of the Russian Federation, Tatyana Moskalkova. The “Team Against Torture” filed an application with the Ministry of Internal Affairs and the prosecutor’s office and sent a collective appeal demanding that Alamov’s safety be ensured to the Human Rights Council under the President of the Russian Federation and the Ministry of Internal Affairs.

Earlier, the “Team Against Torture” reported that Magomed Alamov was being threatened by the relatives of Marina Yandieva, who fled from Ingushetia from domestic violence. A human rights activist gave her a ride during her escape.
