Regions of the North Caucasus are recognized as unsuccessful in terms of quality of life of the population
According to the results of 2024, the rating score for quality of life increased in almost all regions of the Russian Federation. This is stated in a new study by RIA Novosti. The last, 85th place was taken by Tuva. Ingushetia is in 84th place.
 
Karachay-Cherkessia was in 79th place in the rating, Dagestan - in 67th, Chechnya - in 65th, North Ossetia - in 63rd, Kabardino-Balkaria - in 53rd.
 
The first positions in the rating of regions by quality of life are occupied by Moscow, St. Petersburg and the Moscow region. The top ten also included Krasnodar Krai, Tatarstan, Leningrad, Rostov, Kaliningrad, Samara regions and the Khanty-Mansi Autonomous Okrug
 
When compiling the rating, analysts took into account 66 indicators: income level of the population, labor market, housing conditions, safety, demographic situation, environmental and climatic conditions, public health and level of education, development of transport infrastructure, etc.
