Regions of the North Caucasus Federal District took the last places in terms of residents' ability to buy a car on credit
Only 2.1-3.8% of families in Ingushetia, Chechnya, Dagestan and Kabardino-Balkaria can afford to buy and maintain a new car on credit. These regions took the last places in the RIA Novosti rating.

Also among the outsiders were Karachay-Cherkessia, where the figure was 4.9%, and North Ossetia - 5%.

The top five in the rating were the Yamalo-Nenets Autonomous Okrug (where 54.7% of families can afford to take an inexpensive car on credit), Magadan Oblast (44.5%), Chukotka Autonomous Okrug (43.2%), Khanty-Mansiysk Autonomous Okrug (39.4%) and Nenets Autonomous Okrug (37.4%).

When calculating, it was assumed that 50% of the funds remaining after deducting the subsistence minimum from the family budget go towards car maintenance and loan payments.

The loan amount was calculated with an initial payment of 20% of the car's cost and a loan term of three years. Other expenses were also taken into account: CASCO, OSAGO, cost of gasoline, maintenance, purchase of tires, payment of transport tax, etc.
