Rostekhnadzor will check the activity of filling stations in Dagestan

A special commission, headed by Alan Tsaliev, head of the Caucasus Department of Rostekhnadzor, will investigate the causes of the explosion that occurred on August 14 at a gas station in Makhachkala. Recall that the cause of it was the ignition of saltpeter.

The head of Rostekhnadzor of the Russian Federation, Alexander Trembitsky, informed the head of Dagestan, Sergey Melikov, about inspections at the gas stations of the republic. Melikov believes that the main reasons for the incident are the carelessness of the owners of the facilities where they operate, and the connivance of the authorities that issued illegal permits for the construction of high-risk facilities.

After an explosion at a gas station in Makhachkala, 36 victims, including 11 children, remain in hospitals in Dagestan. Earlier, 16 patients with the most severe injuries were transferred to Moscow clinics. In total, 35 people died and 119 were injured in the explosion.
