An international conference entitled "The Circassian Genocide in the Context of History and Contemporary Politics" was held in the Seimas of Lithuania, organized by the United Circassian Council.
Georgia has no plans to restore diplomatic relations with Russia. This was stated by Prime Minister Irakli Kobakhidze after his ruling party, Georgian Dream, won the majority of votes in the parliamentary elections.
"We do not have diplomatic relations with Russia. There are no plans in this regard, because 10% of the territory is occupied by the Russian Federation," Kobakhidze responded to journalists' question about the likelihood of establishing "strong diplomatic relations" with Moscow.
He also said that after winning the elections, the ruling party of Georgia expects a reset in relations with the EU.
Russian propagandist Alexander Dugin spoke about the voting of Georgian emigrants. In his opinion, only citizens living in Georgia should take part in the elections, while those who have left are "relocants" and "traitors."
"If you are Georgian, then you live and vote in Georgia and for Georgia. "And if you are outside Georgia and you vote for Georgia not to exist, then what kind of Georgian are you?! You are a relocator and a traitor. And your vote does not count," Dugin was indignant.
