An employee of the Russian Guard from Chechnya was denied compensation for being injured in Ukraine

The Southern District Military Court rejected the claim for compensation in the amount of 3 million rubles to Batraz Tauchelov, a serviceman of the repair and restoration battalion of the Russian Guard from Grozny. He asked for payment in connection with an injury received in the war against Ukraine.

In his lawsuit, Tauchelov indicated that in January 2023, in the occupied village of Novotroitskoye (Kherson region), he chased a local resident to identify him as a person with a negative attitude “towards the Russian authorities.” The Russian Guard fell and twisted his leg.

The leadership of military unit No. 6786 refused to receive payments to the major, citing the fact that he received the injury due to his own negligence. The contractor tried to challenge the refusal in Grozny, then in the Southern District Military Court, but never received the money.
