A Dagestani athlete complained about the lack of compensation for flood-damaged housing

Dagestani mixed martial artist Ramazan Gasanov, who holds the title of champion of the Kazakh NAYZA league, expressed dissatisfaction with the lack of support from authorities in the restoration of his home, which was damaged by a landslide.

The athlete's video message was published by the Telegram channel Mash Gor. Gasanov reported that he has not yet received any financial assistance, despite visits from administration representatives and calls from State Duma deputy from Dagestan, Biysultan Khamzayev. According to Gasanov, his property is registered in accordance with current legislation.

Previously, Dagestani authorities cited the lack of title deeds for the victims' properties as the reason for the delays in compensation payments.

At the end of March, the Gasanov family's home in the village of Chuni in the Levashinsky District was partially damaged by a landslide caused by heavy rainfall. Part of the wall and the roof were damaged.

According to the latest data released on June 11, more than 40,000 people affected by the floods in Dagestan have already received compensation totaling over 1.5 billion rubles. In total, the Ministry of Emergency Situations has received at least 274,000 applications for compensation.
