The property of a former State Duma deputy from Dagestan may be confiscated

The Prosecutor General's Office of the Russian Federation filed a lawsuit with the Soviet District Court of Makhachkala to confiscate the property of the family of former State Duma deputy from Dagestan Magomed Gadzhiev, who has been recognized as a foreign agent. According to the supervisory agency, Gadzhiev, his common-law wife Nina Kolomiytseva, his son Magomedrasul Gadzhiev and his sister Raisat Gadzhilova are part of an extremist community, the activities of which the Prosecutor General's Office demands to be banned.

The lawsuit states that the relatives of the former deputy own assets in Russia, including companies, real estate in Dagestan and the Moscow region, as well as buildings in the center of Moscow, with a total value of more than 2 billion rubles. In particular, the family controls the Sulaknerud company, which is engaged in the extraction of sand and gravel mixture.

The Prosecutor General's Office claims that the profits from these assets are transferred to the United States and France, where Magomed Gadzhiev owns luxury real estate. According to the department, the funds received by enterprises in Russia are used by the ex-deputy for anti-Russian activities and, possibly, to finance the Armed Forces of Ukraine. Magomed Gadzhiev, who previously held senior positions in tax authorities and was a State Duma deputy until 2021, has been living abroad since the start of the "SVO".
