The accused deputy head of the Ministry of Internal Affairs of Dagestan had his property and cars seized

In Moscow, a court arrested the property of the deputy head of the Dagestan Ministry of Internal Affairs, Rufat Ismailov. He registered eight land plots with a total area of several thousand square meters, as well as three buildings and six cars, in the name of dummies.

The lawyers objected, arguing that one of the actual owners of the property was an entrepreneur with sufficient income to purchase it. Other property was purchased on credit. The Basmanny court refused to grant the petition.

Rufat Ismailov was arrested in November 2023. He is charged with two criminal episodes under Art. 290 of the Criminal Code of the Russian Federation (receiving a bribe on a large scale). In addition, he is accused of exceeding official powers with the use of violence (clauses “a”, “d”, “e” part 3 of article 286 of the Criminal Code of the Russian Federation). Charges under the same articles were brought against the Deputy Head of the Investigation Department of the Ministry of Internal Affairs for Dagestan Dalgat Abdulgapurov and investigator Abdul Abakarov.
