Ukrainian police put Ramzan Kadyrov on the wanted list

On November 16, the Ministry of Internal Affairs of Ukraine put the head of Chechnya, Ramzan Kadyrov, on the wanted list. The orientation indicates that he is accused under two articles of the Criminal Code: Art. 110 “Encroachment on the territorial integrity and inviolability of Ukraine” (punishable by imprisonment for a term of 5 to 10 years) and Art. 437 “Planning, preparation, unleashing and waging an aggressive war” (up to 15 years).
The search was initiated by the Security Service of Ukraine, which began an investigation into Kadyrov back in August. He was charged with the fact that in February-March 2022, he personally supervised the development and planning of individual military operations of units from Chechnya, “gave orders, listened to reports and reports from their leaders.” Then Kadyrov responded to the Ukrainian special service with two audio messages in his Telegram channel.
“Gentlemen of the Security Service, determine the place where we should appear. We will be happy to come and figure out who the criminal is, who the murderer is, who the terrorist is... I participated, am participating and will participate in a special operation and will free those people whom you have tortured and abused all these years,” he said.
After Kadyrov’s photo appeared on the website of the Ukrainian Ministry of Internal Affairs “Rozysk”, he recorded a new video message. “The SBU can’t find me. The whole world knows that I am in the center of Grozny, and the stupid Ukrainian security service has once again put me on the wanted list. I have already stated and will repeat: name the place, SSB men, and the time! There is no need to look for me. By the way, I have already been to Ukraine a couple of times and have not seen that anyone there was puzzled by my capture. Ukrainian search methods are apparently designed only for Internet searches, because my intelligence reports that the SBU is not going to carry out any real operational actions “on the ground” to establish my whereabouts and cannot - the electricity is regularly cut off; it is impossible to work in such conditions very difficult. And the air raid sirens are always disturbing.”
In addition to Kadyrov, the deputy head of the Russian National Guard department for Chechnya, Daniil Martynov, and the ex-commander of the Chechen “South” battalion, Khusein Mezhidov, also face criminal prosecution in Ukraine.
The SBU considers Martynov responsible for the seizure of about 500 hostages at the Borodyansky psychoneurological boarding school in the Kyiv region in early March.
Mezhidov is accused of taking hostage about 200 residents of the city of Gostomel, Kyiv region; they were kept in basements from February 25 to March 13. According to the publication Kavkaz.Realii, Mezhidov lost his position for trying to sell weapons seized in Ukraine.
The SBU also announced the beginning of an investigation against the commander of the Chechen special unit “Akhmat” Apti Alaudinov. He is suspected of encroaching on the territorial integrity of Ukraine.
