In January, 118 attacks by far-right groups were recorded in Russia
In January 2025, Russian far-right groups committed 118 attacks. This was reported by the NVMP (Nazi Video Monitoring Project), which collects video evidence of hate crimes published by Russian far-right groups in Telegram channels. The overwhelming majority of attacks (91), according to the source, were motivated by racism. In 7 cases, the motive was religious hatred: the attackers slashed the tires of cars with Islamic stickers and smashed the windows of halal food stalls.

“Their victims were people whom the attackers mistook for ‘non-Slavs’. In addition to people resembling natives of Central Asia and the Caucasus, the property of gypsies was attacked 4 times, people of Asian appearance 4 times, people resembling natives of South Asia twice, and an African once,” writes NVMP.

The ultra-right also damaged cars, attacked couriers' bicycles, broke windows, and burned kiosks. There were cases of arson of apartment doors and cars.
